Carey Camp

We went to camp Carey with children from St.Mark's First School, Swanage.
It was a great opportunity to make new friends and to work together as members of the same community. We will already know some familiar faces when we go to Middle School now.

Enjoying the lunch that we cooked for ourselves.

Shelter building - it's not as easy as it looks.

We had to solve many problems together.
The low ropes course was fun!

All of our activities involved team work.

On the blindfold trail we had to trust each other as guides

ARGHHH! We had to get to the other side of the swamp without falling in.
This was tricky. We really had to work together to move.

Maths Through Art: rotational symmetry.

We used polystyrene tiles to print these patterns.

Can you identify how many lines of symmetry each pattern has?

Our Spring Term Topic is Kenya

Silhouettes and Cinquain Poetry

Can you work out the pattern of syllables used in our poetry?

We covered plastic milk bottles with modroc to create our Kenyan Masks.
